With an ageing website that was proving impossible to keep updated, Redpath needed something they could use to promote all of the great project work they are doing.
Redpath is an established regional building contractor based in Glasgow with clients across the central belt.
They work across a number of sectors, with a focus on education, office, retail, residential, leisure and healthcare.
Clear objectives were provided by the client within their brief and included:
Their original website was hard to navigate and difficult to keep updated. This meant project information was out of date and that it wasn’t portraying Redpath in the best possible light.
The chief aim of the project was to design and develop a website that could be used as an integral part of the sales process, that promoted the range, diversity and quality of Redpath’s projects whilst delivering the following:
We used the Umbraco CMS as the content management system on this project.
Because Umbraco is so intuitive, with very little training the Redpath team were able to easily edit content, add projects and create news stories.
With content editing time kept to a minimum, the team could then focus on other marketing tasks, whilst all of the time referring back to projects on their website.
A major driver behind the design and development of the new website was to ensure that the user experience was as smooth as possible across multiple devices.

We work very hard at ensuring the websites we build load as quickly as possible as it’s also very clear that it is one of the ranking factors that Google likes. Given the highly visual nature of the Redpath site, we’re particularly pleased with how quickly it loads.
The new website has been received very well across the industry with a significant increase in visits to the site and time spent viewing company information and projects.

For years, Redpath struggled with a website that was difficult to update and costly to maintain. With a lack of up to date information it soon became something they would try hard not to mention to technical partners and potential clients.
The new website now showcases the full range and extent of Redpath’s work and is something that can be stuck front and centre to promote the company.
It’s always a rewarding experience when we can do our bit in delivering such a radical progression and with a great website as part of their marketing artillery, we are sure Redpath can look towards a successful and prosperous new decade.
